How to do the Side Double-Leg Crunch

Setup

  1. Lie on your side on a solid surface, such as a sturdy floor or yoga mat, extending your legs in a straight line with your torso.

  2. Extend the bottom arm out in front of you or rest it on the floor to provide support for your upper body.

  3. Place your top hand behind your head with your elbow pointing upwards.

Execution

  1. Inhale and simultaneously lift your legs and your upper body towards each other, contracting your oblique muscles to close the gap between your ribcage and pelvis.

  2. Keep your legs firmly together throughout the movement.

  3. Exhale as you controlledly lower your torso and legs back down to the starting position without letting them touch the floor completely between repetitions.

  4. Maintain focus on using your core muscles for the movement rather than relying on momentum.
