How to do the Quad Deadlift Stretch
Setup
Standing tall, shift your weight onto one leg. Reach behind you with the opposite hand and grab the top of the foot of the back leg, pulling the heel toward your glutes to create a quad stretch.
Movement
While maintaining your balance on the standing leg, hinge forward at the hips.
Extend your free arm forward for balance and counterbalance.
As you hinge, allow the knee of the leg you are holding to move slightly back, creating a deep stretch through the quadriceps.
Keep your back flat and chest lifted throughout the movement.
Return to the starting upright position by engaging your glutes and hamstrings.
Tips
Focus on maintaining a neutral spine throughout the entire range of motion. Keep your knees close together to emphasize the stretch in the quad.
