How to do the Weight-Plate Sit-Up
Begin by lying flat on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Hold a weight plate with both hands close to your chest.
Crunch your upper body off the floor while simultaneously pressing the weight plate towards the ceiling.
Keep your arms almost straight and locked, so only your torso is moving considerable, not your arms.
At the top of the movement, you should be in a crunched position with shoulders off the floor and the weight plate above you.
Lower back down to the starting position with control, keeping tension on the abdominal muscles.
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions and sets.
Ensure you maintain a controlled motion throughout the exercise, and avoid using momentum to lift the weight. Adjust the weight according to your fitness levels.
