How to do the Half Hero Stretch

Setup

Begin by kneeling on a yoga mat. Keep one leg bent with that foot flat on the floor, knee positioned in front of you. Bend the other leg behind you, tucking your lower leg alongside your hip so your heel is close to your glute.

Movement

  1. Place your hands on the floor behind you for support.

  2. Gently lean your torso backward, carefully creating length through the front of the hip and thigh of the folded back leg.

  3. Keep your glutes engaged and maintain an upright chest to deepen the stretch intensity.

  4. Hold the position for the desired duration, keeping your weight supported by your hands and the foot on the floor.

  5. Ensure your knee rests comfortably on the mat without excessive strain.
