How to do the Froggy Leg Lift Crunch
Setup
Lie flat on your back on a mat, with your knees bent and feet brought together so your legs form a diamond ('frog') shape.
Place your hands lightly behind your head, elbows flared out to the sides. Do not pull on your neck.
Movement
Engagement: Exhale and engage your core to lift your head, neck, and shoulders off the mat. Imagine pulling your ribcage down toward your hips.
Crunch: At the top of the movement, focus on squeezing your abs. Your legs should remain in their fixed diamond position throughout the repetition.
Return: Inhale slowly as you lower your upper body back down to the starting position without fully relaxing your core muscles.
Tips for Success
Keep your lower back pressed firmly against the mat throughout the entire movement.
Keep your chin slightly tucked to avoid straining your neck.
Control the tempo; perform the lift and the descent with equal control.
