How to do the Band Overhead Triceps Extension
Attach the resistance band: Start by attaching a resistance band to a stable, overhead object. Ensure it is secured so that it doesn't come loose when pulled.
Position yourself: Stand facing away from the point of attachment with your feet shoulder-width apart to maintain balance. Adjust your distance from the attachment point to modify the resistance of the band.
Starting position: Grasp the band with both hands and raise your arms over your head, keeping your elbows close to your ears.
Extend your arms: Keep your upper arms stationary, exhale, and extend your arms fully by contracting your triceps. Move your forearms and hands upward.
Squeeze at the top: Pause briefly at the top of the movement to squeeze the triceps muscles.
Return to starting position: Inhale and slowly return your hands to the starting position by bending at the elbows. Maintain control and resistance.
