What's New 💪

The latest features, improvements, and fixes across JustGains on mobile and web.

August 3–12

A closer look at your training, and more ways to share it.

New

  • Your training, by the numbers.Mobile

Tap Stats on the workout panel for workouts, total sets, volume, average duration, and PRs across 4 weeks or 3 months, plus weekly volume bars, the muscle groups taking your sets, and a consistency calendar. Pro opens up 6 months, 1 year, all time, and the muscle map.

  • Today’s workout, already forged.Mobile

The workout panel now carries a ready-made plan built from your Forge settings, your equipment, and what you’ve already trained. Open it in Forge and change anything before you start.

  • Measure your carry course with the camera.Mobile

Logging distance on a weighted carry? Tap Course on the keyboard and walk the route with your camera to capture it, then send the measurement straight into your set. iPhone only, for now.

  • Streaks that put on a show.Mobile

Finish a workout on a streak and a flame plays, sized to the day count, with bigger showpieces waiting at day 5, day 10, and all the way up to 100.

  • A shopping list that works offline.Mobile

Send recipe ingredients to a list grouped by aisle and check things off as you shop, on a plane if you like, it syncs when you’re back. Anything already in your pantry gets matched by name so you don’t buy it twice.

  • Find your gym, or add it yourself.Mobile

One search field now covers both the gyms already on JustGains and everywhere else on the map. Join in a tap, create the one that’s missing, and edit the details of a gym you run. Onboarding uses the same search when you pick where you train.

  • A profile worth sending to someone.Web

Your public page now leads with your streak, your numbers, your programs, goals, and recent workouts, and justgains.com/@yourname is a short link straight to it.

  • See who high-fived you.Mobile + Web

Workouts in the feed show the faces of everyone who high-fived them. Tap the pile for the full list.

  • Build out a squad.Mobile + Web

Add people from your buddies or search for anyone by name, and set a squad to private so only you can add to it.

  • Check whether it’s us or you.Web

justgains.com/status shows live health for the app, the API, media, live workout collaboration, nutrition search, and wearables.

  • How we stack up, in detail.Web

New Learn articles put JustGains next to Fitbod and Gravl, down to how each one builds a workout and who owns the plan afterwards.

Improved

  • Fuller nutrition on the food you log.Mobile + Web

Fiber, sugar, saturated fat, and sodium now fill themselves in after the fact when a food’s source data is missing them, and the better numbers sync back into your diary on their own.

  • Pick the numbers you care about.Mobile

The Log screen’s tiles now cover up to eight nutrients, and you can drag them into whatever order you want.

  • Daily values that match your plan.Mobile + Web

Nutrition facts panels now work out % DV against your own targets instead of a generic 2,000 calorie day.

  • One workout imports as one workout.Web

When an import turns out to be a single routine repeated across the week, we spot it and offer to bring it in as a standalone workout instead of a padded program.

  • Shared workouts look the part.Web

Open a shared workout link and you get the creator, the stats that matter, and an obvious way to try it yourself.

Fixed

  • Password reset links stop burning out.Web

Opening the link no longer spends the code, and if it still won’t go through you can type the six digits from the same email instead of starting the whole thing over.

  • Upload problems say what went wrong.Mobile

Photo and video uploads now explain the actual reason in plain language instead of handing you a raw error.

  • Your theme survives a locked launch.Mobile

On iPhone, the app opening while your phone is still locked no longer drops your theme back to the default.

August 6

Build the order you actually ate.

New

  • Build the order you actually ate.Mobile

Open Restaurants from Fuel to browse Chipotle, Subway, and Taco Bell, search 400+ menu items, and customize every ingredient, portion, and add-on while calories and macros update live. Your usuals stay ready to build again.

Improved

  • Tutorials remember you.Mobile

Finish or skip a walkthrough and it stays seen with your account, even after a reinstall or on another phone.

Fixed

  • Barcode scans land on the real serving.Mobile

Scans now keep leading zeroes and choose the product record with an actual serving instead of a 100 g placeholder, so the calories and portion match the package.

  • Sign-in stays above the keyboard.Mobile

On Android phones using edge-to-edge layouts, the welcome and sign-in fields now move clear of the keyboard instead of sliding underneath it.

July 21–August 6

Track more of what moves you, and make every workout more yours.

New

  • Track almost anything.Mobile + Web

Open Track Activities to search a full catalog of sports and studio sessions, then record dance, swimming, yoga, basketball, boxing, and more. Swim can count laps or just time, every session has its own history, and finished posts carry their stats and media onto mobile and web.

  • See the story behind your food log.Mobile

Fuel’s new History screen turns 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, or all time into energy balance, weekly trends, logging streaks, a day-by-day heatmap, macro averages, standout days, and the foods you reach for most.

  • Log a set with a nod.Mobile

On supported AirPods, choose a nod, shake, or tilt and finish the current set hands-free. You can tune sensitivity and rehearse the gesture in Workout settings before training.

  • Work out together, live.Mobile

Start a Pro Partner Session from your workout or join with a code or QR. You each keep your own logged numbers while sharing the plan, seeing sets land in real time, sending reactions, and reconnecting after a lock or restart.

  • Turn a workout photo into a workout.Mobile

Import Training now accepts up to five photos or PDFs alongside your notes, then builds an editable workout from what it sees.

  • Give your workouts a cover.Mobile

Add or change a 16:9 cover photo while creating or editing a workout template.

  • Build in the backup plan.Web

On the web workout editor, add and reorder preferred exercise alternatives, then prescribe sets and metrics once for the whole choice list.

Improved

  • Spot what’s fresh in Flexicon.Mobile + Web

New and Updated filters now find exercises added in the last 30 days or refreshed in the last 7, with matching labels on every card.

  • Tell Forge exactly what’s in the gym.Mobile + Web

Start with Bodyweight, Home gym, or Full gym, then build a custom kit from the exact equipment you can use. Forge keeps that kit on both mobile and web.

  • Safer programs rise first.Mobile + Web

Onboarding recommendations now treat pregnancy, postpartum recovery, injuries, joint-friendly training, home equipment, short sessions, and limited training days as real constraints, including the details you type yourself.

  • A clearer path out of your old app.Web

The web importer now shows step-by-step export directions for Fitbod, Hevy, Strong, StrengthLog, and Caliber before you upload your history.

  • Choose the meal at the last second.Mobile

Quick Add and food details now let you switch between Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack before the food lands in your diary.

Fixed

  • Social signup keeps the workout you forged.Web

Build a workout before creating an account, then continue with social sign-in and the plan still follows you into your new account.

  • Cleared searches stay cleared.Mobile + Web

Clear the recent people in Feed search and they no longer come back after a reload or on another device.

  • Recipe steps keep their ingredients.Mobile + Web

Generated recipes now recognize that “chicken breast” and “boneless, skinless chicken breast” are the same ingredient, so the step-by-step breakdown stops dropping labels.

Behind the scenes

  • A newer engine underneath.Mobile + Web

The mobile app moved to Expo 57, while sync pagination, media uploads, and exercise-cache parsing picked up new safeguards.

July 31

Bring your old food diary with you, and cook with the recipe in front of you.

New

  • Import your food diary from another app.Mobile

MyFitnessPal, LoseIt, MyNetDiary, and Cronometer exports all import, and anything else with a CSV can be mapped column by column. Hand it the ZIP MyFitnessPal emails you and it reads the file inside. You get a summary before anything is written, days you have already logged are left alone, and the entries sync to every device.

  • Cook straight from the recipe.Mobile + Web

The method now switches between steps and a table of ingredients per step, and every duration in the instructions becomes a button. Tap "simmer for 20 minutes" and the timer is already running.

  • Weekly dose reminders.Mobile

If you are on a GLP-1, Nutrition settings can now hold your dose day and time and remind you. Available to members 21 and over.

Improved

  • Exercise demos match you.Mobile

Thumbnails and demo videos across the library, the picker, your workout cards, and Tools now show the model matching your profile instead of whichever one happened to rank first.

  • Forge stays within reach.Mobile + Web

Scroll past the controls on the web generator and a compact dock slides in with all of them, focus is now a muscle map you tap rather than a list, and there is a variety dial. Exercises you have favorited get a nudge up the rankings, on both platforms.

  • Quick Add does the calorie math.Mobile

Type the macros off a label and leave calories blank: it fills them in from the protein, carbs, and fat and tells you it did. Enter a calorie figure yourself and yours wins.

  • Food icons ride along.Mobile

The icon set now ships inside the app instead of being drawn on the fly, so foods show their icon instantly, offline included.

  • Cold starts got lighter.Mobile

The app now loads only the workspaces you have switched on, and warms the screens it is about to need before the first render instead of during it. Less waiting on a black screen, fewer dropped taps in the first seconds.

Fixed

  • No more login screen after an overnight sync.Mobile

When health data synced in the background with your phone locked, the app could not read your saved sign-in and greeted you with the login screen in the morning. It now waits until the phone is unlocked and picks up where it left off.

  • Foods that claimed zero calories.Mobile

Some entries from the open food database list macros but no energy, so they logged as 0 kcal and quietly went missing from your day. Their calories are now worked out from the macros.

  • What you log matches what you saw.Mobile

Rounding happened twice on the way from a recipe or search result into your diary, so the total could land a calorie or two off the number on screen.

  • The run recorder stays dark.Mobile

On a light-theme phone the stats panel over the map washed out to pale grey with white text on it.

  • Edits stop losing races with sync.Mobile

A step count or program day you changed on your phone could be overwritten by an older copy of itself coming back down from the server.

July 27–30

Android is live, and the workout generator comes to the web.

New

  • JustGains for Android is on Google Play.Mobile + Web

No more waiting room. Every download button now goes straight to the Play Store listing. The early-access page sticks around for insiders, hosting the newest preview build before it rolls out to everyone.

  • Build a workout in one tap, no account needed.Web

Open justgains.com/forge, set your time, your gear, and your goal, and Forge builds a full session from the whole exercise library, sets and reps included. Every line of it is editable. Sign in and it starts suggesting your weights too.

  • Three ways to start on the web.Web

Tap the play button in the bottom bar and you can forge a session, open one of your saved workouts, or start blank. Tap it again mid-session for the timer controls.

  • Myo Reps join the set types.Mobile + Web

Same weight, short rests, one long set. Consecutive myo-rep sets chain together like dropsets do, with their own teal badge and connector, and your working-set count knows the difference. The set-type picker now explains each option in a line.

  • Meals log themselves on the way out.Mobile

Back out of the Add screen with food still on the tray and it gets logged instead of stranded, complete with a confetti burst of whatever you just ate. Pancakes rain pancakes.

  • Fuel asks for a plan before it starts.Mobile

Switch the Fuel workspace on without going through its questions and the pane now offers to run them, so you never land on an empty day with no targets behind it.

Improved

  • The app stays awake on bad Wi-Fi.Mobile

The exercise library now decrypts natively and unpacks in slices instead of locking the app for seconds on a mid-range phone, a flapping connection no longer triggers a pile-up of syncs, and voice logging matches against the library already on your device. Taps land while all of it happens.

  • Your muscle map fits you better.Mobile + Web

Personalized body-map photos now land the forearm shading on your actual forearms, and the chest and neck shapes that warped awkwardly are gone in favor of ones that read cleanly on a real body.

  • Free and Pro, side by side.Mobile + Web

The comparison is now grouped into Essentials, Training, Community, and Extras, each row with its own icon, so you can see what you already get and what Pro adds without reading a wall of ticks.

  • Signup handles the awkward cases.Mobile

Picking a Pro program offers the upgrade once and takes no for an answer, Continue waits for the program search to finish instead of skipping past it, and a second account on the same phone starts the calorie calculator fresh. Gaining weight now starts at a sensible pace instead of the top of the range.

  • A refresher on workspaces, on demand.Mobile

Settings has an info button next to Workspaces that explains what they are and offers to replay the gestures tour on the spot.

  • Paste your sign-in code.Mobile

Long-press the six boxes and the code is pulled straight from your clipboard, ignoring any other numbers in the email. The sheet also stopped jumping when the keyboard appears.

  • The Learn guides read like a person wrote them.Web

Every guide, RPE to TDEE, got a pass for plainer language and fewer hedges.

Fixed

  • Generated workouts know your name.Mobile + Web

Sessions built for you could come back addressed to "Athlete" even with your name on the account.

  • Your chats come back.Mobile

A failed load showed "No conversations yet", as if the thread list were empty. It now says what happened and offers to try again, and the chat with Claude no longer trips over its own membership.

  • Recipes log to the meal you opened them from.Mobile

Logging a recipe while filling in yesterday’s breakfast could land it on today instead.

July 22–27

A new front door, a smarter setup, and Pro from any browser.

New

  • A whole new front door.Mobile

Your first open now walks through MOVE, TRAIN, FUEL, and REACH over a living light field: sign in or create your account right on the glass, tour each workspace, and pick the ones you want. Train plus your first extra workspace are free, and you can change your picks anytime in Settings.

  • Fuel gets its own setup.Mobile

Turn on Fuel during signup and it asks what actually matters: how active you are, your goal weight and the pace to reach it, an optional fasting plan with reminders, and your diet style and foods to avoid. You come out the other side with a complete nutrition plan, macros set and synced.

  • Subscribe from any browser.Mobile + Web

If your phone can’t bill through the app store, the paywall now offers Continue in browser: a personal checkout page opens on the web, and once you’re Pro it sends you straight back into the app.

  • Seven new Aura designs.Mobile

Holo Card, High Score, Pocket Score, Vector, Boarding Pass, Tour Poster, and Front Page join the picker, taking it to 30 designs. All free.

  • The Lab opens with an ASCII art studio.Web

Type anything at justgains.com/lab/ascii and get it back as block art, braille shading, classic FIGlet fonts, and Unicode typefaces. Bend the letterforms, then copy everything as plain text.

  • Verified creators’ workouts go public.Web

A verified creator’s workout templates now show on their public profile for anyone, no account needed.

  • Mini-trampoline exercises join the library.Mobile + Web

Sixteen new moves, Basic Bounce to Power Bounce, each with full instructions and muscle maps, plus a new Mini Trampoline equipment filter to find them.

Improved

  • The signup questions grew up.Mobile

A goal-weight wheel replaces the fat-loss chips and hands your target straight to Fuel, the notifications step previews the real notifications you’d get, gym search asks one thing at a time, and the summary ends with the plan you just built.

  • The pushup counter got sharper eyes.Mobile

Rep detection now learns your actual range instead of guessing, ignores faces passing in the background, and warms the ring to amber right at counting depth. New plus and minus buttons fix a miscount before you save.

  • Squad chats mirror the squad.Mobile

Join or leave a squad and its chat follows along, with proper joined-and-left events in the thread. Messages sent before you joined stay private to the people who were there.

Fixed

  • Leaving a review no longer freezes the app.Mobile

The app-store review prompt could lock up every tap on its way out. Each exit now waits its turn, sad meow included.

  • The wheels save what they show.Mobile

The height and weight pickers in onboarding now commit the value on screen, so your profile and calorie math match what you saw.

  • The muscle map sits square on the shoulders.Mobile + Web

Personalized muscle-map photos now align to the artwork’s true shoulder line, so drawn hair can’t skew the fit.

Behind the scenes

  • Sturdier plumbing all around.Mobile + Web

Web images now arrive right-sized, Aura artwork slimmed down, failed emails retry instead of failing silently, and workout generation reaches for a backup model when the first one stumbles.

July 13–22

Train your way, carry less, and make more of JustGains yours.

New

  • Forge a workout around today.Mobile

Pick your time, focus, gym, set style, and any must-have exercises. Forge builds an editable workout from your recovery, equipment, favorite lifts, injuries, and recent training, right on your phone and even offline.

  • Leave the gym keytag at home.Mobile

Scan a gym barcode or QR code once, save it securely, then pull it up from Tools whenever you check in.

  • Make the muscle map yours.Mobile + Web

My Muscle Map lets you choose personalized front and back body images, then carries your look into muscle recovery, profiles, workout cards, and published workouts on mobile and web.

  • Fasting, right on your home screen.Mobile

New iPhone and Android widgets show whether you are eating or fasting, the time left in the phase, and a live progress bar. Tap one to jump straight into Fasting.

  • Find your real daily burn.Mobile + Web

A new TDEE calculator on mobile and web compares proven formulas, explains where your calories go, and gives maintain, cut, and build targets with practical macro splits. The new body-fat comparison guide helps make sense of the optional body-fat input.

  • Share the whole post.Mobile + Web

Posts now open on their own public web page, so a share link carries the workout, activity, photos, and context beyond the app and opens back into JustGains when it can.

  • One exercise. Full focus.Mobile

Turn on Focus View from an active workout’s menu to train one exercise at a time, move between them without losing your place, and keep every set control close.

  • Switching apps has a playbook.Web

New Learn guides walk through moving from Hevy, Strong, JEFIT, Fitbod, MyFitnessPal, and Strava, with direct links from the importer when JustGains can bring your history along.

Improved

  • Change the plan without starting over.Mobile

Quick Edit can reshape the unfinished part of an active workout around a new time limit, focus, gear setup, or set style while protecting the work you already logged.

  • Routes stay on the road.Mobile

Run, walk, hike, and ride tracking now treats recording gaps, GPS jumps, and auto-pause resumes more carefully, so maps stop drawing impossible shortcuts and distance stays honest.

  • Food search understands the dish.Mobile

Queries such as yogurt with honey, chicken and waffles, and macaroni and cheese now rank the food you meant instead of letting one stray word take over the results.

Fixed

  • Email verification leads somewhere now.Mobile

When login or signup needs an email code, the app now opens the verification step instead of leaving you on a spinner or a dead-end error.

  • Exercise lists carry less baggage.Mobile

Related exercise cards wait until you actually swipe to them, and thumbnail fallbacks recover more reliably, making long exercise lists faster and less likely to show a blank image.

Behind the scenes

  • The busy parts got tougher.Mobile + Web

Workout sync, leaderboards, gains totals, chat retries, notification delivery, exercise media, and release tooling all picked up new safeguards underneath the visible work.

July 9–13

JustGains reaches your wrist, your rivals, and the rest of your apps.

New

  • JustGains is on your wrist.Mobile

A native Apple Watch app: log sets with a tap and the rest timer starts itself, spin the Digital Crown to adjust reps and weight, and watch live heart rate against your own zones. It records runs and rides with a route trace even when your phone stays home, and a plate visualizer draws the loaded bar in kg or lb.

  • Pushup Battles are live.Mobile

Challenge a friend from their profile, your squad, or a group chat. They get a Join button right in their notifications, then everyone’s reps race in real time while the front camera counts. Podium, medals, rematch.

  • Bring your old program with you.Web

Paste a program, a link, a PDF, or a spreadsheet and JustGains rebuilds it: exercises matched to our library, drop sets and to-failure sets detected, per-set rest kept, with a review step where you approve every match before it becomes a draft.

  • Learn has a real home.Web

34 searchable guides across seven categories, from What is RPE to Macros 101, with the Fitness Dictionary folded in. Old help links redirect, so nothing you bookmarked is lost.

  • Your week in macros.Mobile

Tap the macro ring to open a weekly view: calories, protein, carbs, fat, and fiber, each with a seven-day chart, a target line, and your average. Set a fiber target and hide the nutrients you don’t track.

  • Fasting reminders.Mobile

Get a nudge when your eating window closes, opens, or both, set right in Fasting settings.

  • Save a replay as a video.Mobile

Export any activity replay as a shareable video, and tap the replay map to cycle through eleven route styles: rainbow, fire, ocean, even one with a hotdog puck.

  • A lap counter that listens.Mobile

Counting laps in the pool? Open the lap counter from the keyboard, prop your phone poolside, and say “lap” to log a split hands-free. Average and best lap keep score, and the screen stays awake.

  • Health sync goes both ways.Mobile

Completed workouts and logged meals now flow into Apple Health and Health Connect, and an hourly background sync keeps your steps and workouts fresh before you even open the app.

  • Goals that score themselves.Mobile

A new nutrition goal grades your day 0–100% against your macro targets, a Move goal syncs from walks, runs, and rides, and every auto-synced goal now has a badge explaining exactly what feeds it. Drag your goals into any order, too.

  • Use JustGains from ChatGPT.Web

Connect your account to an outside assistant and ask it to pull your workout history, log your weight, build a running route, or summarize your week. Everything is scoped to you, and route building now starts from where you last trained instead of asking for your location.

  • Meet the people building this.Web

A new founders page introduces James in Tampa and Glory in Malawi, the designer and testers around them, and what we believe: together beats alone, your data is yours, curated, not scraped.

Improved

  • Log your effort in one slide.Mobile

Hold a set’s checkmark and an effort scale slides out across the row: slide to your RPE and the set completes in the same gesture.

  • The interval timer got presets.Mobile

Tabata, Classic, Long, and EMOM one-tap starts, swipe to adjust work, rest, and rounds, a live session total, and a chime when each work set ends.

  • Onboarding stops interrupting.Mobile + Web

Pick any program during setup, including Pro ones, and decide about upgrading at the end instead of mid-flow. Recommendations now consider your gender, and the profile step lets you upload a photo or generate a random avatar.

  • Weight history tells the whole story.Mobile

See Then and Now progress photos side by side, overlay your physique score on the weight chart, and delete a weigh-in that shouldn’t be there.

  • Your recipes show up in food search.Mobile

Search for a food and your own recipes appear right in the results, ready to log in a tap, even offline.

  • Walkthroughs, with an off switch.Mobile

Guided tours now cover the workout screen, feed, Discover, profile, and more, and a new setting turns them all off if you’d rather explore alone.

  • The homepage shows the real app.Web

A rebuilt landing page scrolls through the Workout, Nutrition, and Reach workspaces with real screens, plus a fresh look for the rest of the front door.

  • Caliber joins the import list.Mobile + Web

Move your workout history from Caliber alongside Strong, Hevy, FitBod, and StrengthLog, auto-detected straight from the CSV.

Fixed

  • Watch workouts stop going missing.Mobile

Workouts that reach Apple Health late, hours after a watch session, now import reliably, and a failed permission can no longer overwrite your real numbers with zeros.

  • No more zero-calorie meals.Mobile

Foods that only list per-serving calories now log correctly instead of counting as 0, and the meal tray total matches your diary on fractional servings.

  • One notification means one notification.Mobile

Duplicate pushes caused by stale device registrations are gone.

  • A stale sync can’t blank your workout.Mobile

An empty finish from another device can no longer replace a workout that has real sets in it.

  • Draft programs stay yours.Web

Unpublished programs no longer appear on your public profile, only you can see them until you publish.

  • Program posters crop from the center.Web

Hero and Discover posters now center their crop to match mobile.

Behind the scenes

  • A sturdier spine underneath.Mobile + Web

The watch bridge landed with 202 tests at full coverage, stopping an AI chat now truly cancels the work underneath, and the API contracts and SDK moved with everything above.

Version 1.1.0

July 6–8

Your progress gets sharper: from physique scans to replayable miles.

New

  • Body Scan is here.Mobile + Web

Upload 1–3 physique photos, get a physique score, symmetry radar, strengths, focus areas, and a scan history that ties back into your Measurements timeline. Creating new scans is Pro; viewing your results is yours.

  • Your web dashboard has a real home screen.Web

Open JustGains on web and see this week vs last week, streaks, lifetime workouts, distance, gains, most-used exercises, muscle usage, quick actions, and a copyable invite link with a QR code.

  • Replay your route activities.Mobile

Open a saved run, ride, walk, or hike and tap Replay to watch the route draw in with a moving puck, live stats, pace, distance, and elevation as the effort unfolds.

  • The run recorder talks now.Mobile

Voice cues can call out start, pause, resume, splits, auto-pause, and finish stats, with female, male, or off controls, even while the phone is locked.

  • Claude gets smarter starter chips.Mobile

The workout generator now suggests four prompts from your recent training, legs after push/pull, recovery when you have earned it, comeback sessions after a break, and a first-workout lane for new lifters.

  • New pages show more of the app.Web

The website now has full pages for Activities, Nutrition, Goals, Chat, Jeff Nippard, and MadFit, with real screenshots and clearer paths into the app.

  • Testosterone dosage calculator.Web

A new web tool converts weekly dose, ester, concentration, frequency, and syringe size into injection volume, U-100 units, active testosterone, and half-life estimates with medical disclaimers and sources.

Improved

  • Activities read like complete stories.Mobile

Activity detail now brings the big map, full stats, splits, elevation, photos, matched segments, source badges, and the clap/comment/share bar into one scrollable view.

  • Estimated 1RM shows up where you train.Mobile + Web

When a completed set has weight, reps, and RPE, exercise progress can show an estimated one-rep max plus the exact set it came from.

  • Measurements know your goal.Mobile + Web

Weight changes now color themselves based on whether you are trying to gain or lose, and body scan scores can overlay the same chart instead of living in a separate corner.

  • Starting workouts from programs is sturdier.Mobile

Program starts now seed the first workout more reliably, fall back offline when a usable template exists, guard rapid double taps, and show a clear replace-active-workout choice when needed.

  • Pro previews are clearer.Mobile + Web

Locked workouts and program days now stop before revealing the full exercise list and point you straight to Pro instead of opening a half-usable preview.

Fixed

  • Rep ranges stay honest.Mobile

Program prescriptions like "8–10" now display in set fields without being auto-logged as the result when you mark a set complete. RPE ranges still resolve cleanly.

  • Interrupted runs recover safely.Mobile

If the app dies during a recording, JustGains now pauses the activity at the last GPS fix and asks whether to end and review or keep going, instead of silently adding dead time.

Behind the scenes

  • A lot of plumbing got quieter.Mobile + Web

Body scan APIs, dashboard stats, referral tracking, OpenAPI contracts, route generation, voice-cue assets, and SDK updates landed underneath the visible work.

July 4–6

Squads get a home in your feed, and your phone learns to count pushups.

New

  • Your phone counts your pushups.Mobile

Lay it on the floor beneath you, the front camera senses each rep, a ring fills as you lower, and the count pulses up. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

  • Squads have a home now.Mobile

The feed opens with your squads: tap one into its own space with chat, leaderboard, activity, and members, then hop back with a tap. The nav bar never leaves you.

  • Know the moment they train.Mobile

Tap the bell on someone’s profile to get notified when they finish a workout or activity, and you’ll hear about it when someone claps yours. Tune it all in Settings → Notifications.

  • Keep personal notes on any exercise.Mobile

Your cues, your reminders: up to 1,000 characters with bold, headings, and lists, saved right on the exercise and synced to your account.

  • Share any recipe with a link.Mobile

Tap share on one of your recipes and it becomes link-viewable: whoever you send it to sees exactly what you cooked.

  • Chat shows its work.Mobile

Ask the coach to log a meal or update a goal and a card lands right in the reply, items, macros, and your day’s progress at a glance. It can size up your training consistency, too.

  • Find your people from the feed.Mobile
